Cathleen Kelly resides in a woodland retreat at the foothills of the Adirondacks in upstate New York with her two daughters, Jacquelyn and Stephanie. She is the founder and sole proprietor of Holistic Horizons, a private nurse-healer practice devoted to healing on all levels of body, mind, and spirit. Cathleen is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association and a Usui Reiki Master. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Keuka College and has over twenty years of experience in general medicine, intensive care, pediatrics and homecare. Holistic Horizons was started in 1998 to further holistic health practices that view patients and practitioners as whole individuals continuously interacting with their environment. Cathleen received her certification in Holistic Nursing in 1999, making her the first nurse in Central New York to become a Certified Holistic Nurse. Mission Statement The mission of Holistic Horizons is to facilitate human healing through education and provision of integrated care practices. We view disease and distress as opportunities of increased awareness of the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit. We promote holistic health as a way of life which includes self-responsibility and educated choice. We work in a synergistic, collaborative environment, conducive to clinical research and supporting and utilizing the research of others. We serve as resources for holistic health care and education in the community. We value and commit to practices that respect, nurture and enhance an integral relationship with the earth’s functioning. |
